Scott is a recent alumnus of Opera de Montreal's Atelier lyrique program. His performances with that company include Monterone (Verdi, Rigoletto), Duke of Verona (Gounod, Romeo and Juliet), and Man in Bar (Blanchard, Champion). His delivery of the role of Germano (Rossini, la scala di seta) helped secure the production an Opus Award in 2019. 

Scott received his early training in opera at the University of British Columbia. He later travelled to Scotland to take a doctorate in English literature at the University of St Andrews. His professional debut was in the role of Schaunard (Puccini, La Boheme) at the Wexford Opera Festival in 2010. His Canadian professional debut was in the role of Dr Bartolo (Mozart, Le nozze di Figaro) with Vancouver Opera in 2017. Currently, Scott is performing the lead role of Figaro (Mozart, Le nozze di Figaro) with Jeunesses Musicales Canada and the Festival d'opéra de Québec. In October, he will travel to Sofia, Bulgaria, to take on the role of Escamillo (Bizet, Carmen).
