Soprano Laura Widgett, has graced stages across Europe and North America, showcasing her talent in leading roles and prestigious competitions.  Widgett's performances have garnered praise from Opera Canada, Creators Vancouver, CBC Radio One, and European publications like Opera+. Her exceptional vocal prowess and emotional depth have captivated audiences and critics alike.  Recipient of the Guttman-Dales scholarship from Vancouver Opera, Manitoba Opera, Edmonton Opera, and Calgary Opera, Widgett has also received accolades including the Dahl Richards award in opera and the Nancy Phipps award.  Notable roles in her repertoire include "Violetta" in Verdi's La Traviata, "Countessa Almaviva" in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, and "Marenka" in Smetena's The Bartered Bride.
