Countess Almaviva

Gina has performed extensively throughout the Lower Mainland, Canada and internationally.  Her most notable roles include Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Mimi (La Bohème), Violetta (La Traviata), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Josephine (H.M.S. Pinafore), and Emma Jung in the World Premiere of Dream Healer. With Burnaby Lyric Opera, Gina has appeared as Countess (Le Nozze di Figaro), Musetta (La Boheme) and the title role in Madama Butterfly.  Most recently Gina has been using her artistic talents and love for theatre as a costume designer, creating the exciting and dramatic looks for Burnaby Lyric Opera’s productions of Carmen (2017), The Barber of Seville (2018), L’Elisir D’Amore (2019), Madama Butterfly (2020), Pagliacci & Gianni Schicchi (2023), and La Boheme (2024) as well as RENT (URP - 2016), Green Day’s American Idiot (URP - 2019)and A Flea in her Ear (United Players - 2023). Currently, Gina teaches singing to a full studio of students of all ages, promoting the health benefits of singing and encouraging a love of music for all.
