Brian Parkinson, Stage Director

With extensive experience as a theatre director, producer and educator, Brian’s diverse directing interests include classical, contemporary and musical theatre, opera and dialect coaching. Memorable directing experiences include Hamlet, Arcadia, Into the Woods, The Mikado, Macbeth and Noises Off.  In Vancouver, Brian has directed ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore (ETC), Welcome to Thebes (UP), an awardwinning production of Sondheim’s COMPANY (UP), Enron (UP) and Chimerica (UP). Just before the pandemic closed BC theatres in 2020, Brian directed Puccini’s Madama Butterfly for Burnaby Lyric Opera.  In June, he will direct Georges Feydeau’s riotous farce, A Flea In Her Ear for United Players of Vancouver.
